Steven is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Institute of Credit Management.

Karl Toogood
Partner

One of the founding Partners of Rycroft, Karl has been in the Credit industry for over 20 years initially as Branch Manager for a large Personal Credit company before joining Dun & Bradstreet's collection team in 1986. Karl moved into broking in 1990 working for two large specialist brokers before joining in Partnership to form Rycroft in 1996.

David Reeves
Associate Partner

For the first twenty years of his career in Industry, David worked in the Steel and Foundry sector mainly in a sales role, which included Export travel. He joined Dun & Bradstreet in 1985 where he became Sales Manager based in their Birmingham office. A move to Cimco (part of Coface) in 1985 led him into Credit Insurance and he remained with Coface, a leading Credit Insurance underwriter, until joining Rycroft as an Associate Partner early in 2002. David is also a Member of the Institute of Credit Management.

Stephen Scott
Associate Partner

After starting out as an Economist with a large Bank, Stephen went on to run his own successful Design Engineering Company. In 1993 he entered the Credit Industry, initially through a debt purchasing company attaining the position of Branch Manager before joining an offshoot of Coface on the direct sales side in 1996. Stephen joined Rycroft as an Associate Partner in early in 2003.

Steve Parsons
Associate Partner

Steve joined the Credit Insurance industry in 1986 with ECGD/NCM (now Atradius) and was with them for nearly 10 years before moving into Broking . He had a very successful 10 years split mainly between the two largest multi-nationals before moving back to Underwriting as the Regional Manager for Coface Birmingham for the last 6 years.Over the years his impressive market knowledge has been a great asset to both Owner/Managers and very large Corporates who utilised his services in both Credit Insurance and Receivables Finance. However, Broking was his true vocation and he decided to move to Rycroft in February 2012.

Mike Stott
Associate Partner

In 1987 Mike started his Credit Insurance industry career as an Account Executive for Euler. Two years later he moved into broking and has worked in the roles of Sales Director and Managing Director for two specialist brokers. Prior to that Mike was an Export manager for a PLC in Birmingham. Mike joined Rycroft as an Associate Partner in 2003. He has an honours degree in Economics from University College, Cardiff.

Richard Holroyd
Associate Partner

With over 20 years experience of Credit Insurance. Richard ran a Credit Insurance policy for a large builders merchants for 3 years before joining Euler for 7 years starting in claims. Then to a National Credit Insurance broker for 4 years doing sales and service before joining the insurer Coface for 5 years developing direct sales/service and broker sales, then back into the broking market for the last 3 years.

Andy Barter
Associate Partner

Andy began his career in credit insurance in 1980 with ECGD in Cardiff, working in their claims department. After being promoted he moved to the Birmingham regional office in 1990 to take up a Marketing Manager role, responsible for sales and policy servicing.

In 1994, he moved to the broking community joining The Credit Insurance Association (now Aon) to work as part of their new business team. After a very successful time with them, he was approached in 2005 by HCC International, to develop their business profile with the broking community. During his time there, the HCC premium income rose to double the level it was in 2005.

He returned to the broking market by joining Rycroft in July 2009.

Garry Priest
Associate Partner

Garry joined Rycroft in March 2011, he began his working career as an Export Manager in the Automotive Industry, travelling to and successfully conducting business in over thirty countries, he moved to Atradius (then NCM) as a Corporate New Business Underwriter, before joining HSBC Insurance Brokers for over a decade as a Director of their Trade Credit, Surety and Political Risks Division undertaking the role of Head of Regions.

Tony Smith

On leaving the army in 1981 Tony joined CIA (Hogg Robinson) in the City of London as a trainee credit & political risk insurance broker. He continued within the industry based in Birmingham in a number of roles looking after global & international clients in addition to domestic/export clients in the UK from a variety of industries ranging from Steel, Furniture, Advertising, Automotive, Energy and Construction etc. He continues to use his considerable experience in risk management to the benefit of his clients. He is a member of the Institute of Credit Management and was awarded the military Territorial Decoration & Barr.

Teresa Cook
Senior Accounts Executive

Teresa commenced her Career as a Credit Controller for a Medical Supplies Company in London and has since amassed considerable experience in the Credit Industry.Her next position was as a Credit Manager for a major Engineering company, where she remained for five years and acquired hands on knowledge of Credit Insurance policies.When Teresa joined Rycroft Associates,her main responsibilty was originally for Claims, where again she gained substantial experience.

She has recently been promoted to Senior Account Executive and now has responsibility for a large portfolio of her own Clients.

Claire Hallworth

Claire joined Rycroft in 2005 following her graduation from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. Having obtained her honours degree, she immediately went on to begin her career as a Broker Liaison in the credit insurance industry. Within two years, she was promoted to Account Executive and made responsible for a large portfolio of clients. Through maintaining her well-established client base, she has gained valuable experience in servicing and claims assessment.

Liz Hammersley
Consultant Broker

A working-career as a dedicated Insurance Broker is what makes Liz stand out from the crowd. Firstly employed by a Corporate Broker where she reached Managerial status, she then joined a large specialist Credit Company some seventeen years ago reaching the position of Associate Director. Liz has been in her current position here since joining Rycroft as Senior Accounts Executive in 2000. She is responsible for a large portfolio and has unequalled experience of all aspects of credit insurance.

Fiona Gater
Broker Liaison

After successfully achieving her degree in 2004, Fiona began her insurance career at Legal & General as a Life Assurance Underwriter where she was quickly promoted to the Select Choice Team. Whilst studying for her AAT NVQ Level 2 in Accountancy, Fiona joined Rycroft in 2009 as a Broker Liaison. Since then, she has become a valued member of the team who has continued to gain considerable experience of the Credit Insurance sector.
